I’m a freelance Illustrator and Graphic artist specialising in ink on paper and textured digital art.
I’ve been doing illustration and design for the last 8 years and I studied Graphic design at Tshwane University of Technology and finished a year course at the Open Window institute for 3D animation (Maya7).
My collections range from satirical to more surrealistic artworks with a mixture of topics like famous idioms and popular culture.
I’ve done cartoon/comic strips for various magazines and newspapers like The Beeld/Jip/Huisgenoot in the past as well as the graphic art on films like ‘Tremors 5: Bloodlines’ (Universal studios) and ‘The Siege of Jadotville’ (Netflix). I also worked on concept art for television advertisements including the ‘Be Indie’ ads.
These projects gave me a firm understanding of who I am as an artist and it kicked off my ‘Haarig’ collections that I started exhibiting in different galleries like the ‘Johann van Heerden Gallery’ in Garsfontein and ‘Artbox Gallery’ in Monument Park.
