Description:

I live along the Eastern Cape coast in a small town, Boesmansriviermond. Walking every day I get to experience the many moods and nuances of the beach, sea and sky. While the shape of the beach is that of Bushmans River Mouth, I try to convey a more universal feeling and atmosphere.

My method of painting is very layered. Photographs don’t capture the depth of colour or the layers of oil paint and pastel.
