Description:

I travel frequently between the Eastern and Western Cape and almost always I am the driver. This landscape is not site specific. It is an impression of what I imagine I see along the way. I want to capture atmosphere, rather than place.

My method of painting is very layered. Photographs don’t capture the depth of colour or the layers of oil paint and pastel.
