Title: Ancient Lifetimes of Instant Release
Medium: Oil on Canvas
Size: 50cm x 50cm x 7cm
Each point in our lives we can step into darkness or choose light, in our search for truth we hold on to and cherish our fantasies, our illusions and perceptions wading ever further from knowledge which has no perception, no uncertainty and only truth without an opposite. We choose to embroil our lives with thorns of grievances holding on to it for dear life, adding but one more wreath to our blood stained minds, claiming our right to defend our little patch of flesh. Little do we know that “Truth has rushed to meet you since you called upon it.” On some paths we meet instant release where for a flicker of time we see truth and as our journey of lives continue these flickers become brazen light where no grievances can take a foothold in the mind. This is not a change of person but an acceptance and allowance. We spend life moving toward love but fearing its judgement, little do we realize we do not fear loves judgement but rather what we made of love instead. The thorns remain, possibly less of them, but clarity and certainty become the awareness, and like puffs of smoke the darkness becomes light in an instant and as these instants add up so too our desire for a changed mind and allowing of love to not only enter but be extended. “We are made whole in our desire to make whole.” And in these instants, the ancient journeys end, our right mindedness is restored and knowledge becomes truth.
