In the spirit of Inktober this month, we thought we would celebrate it and encourage you to participate. Inktober is a month long art challenge created by artist Jake Parker, that is focused on improving skill and developing positive drawing habits. Every October, artists all over the world take on the Inktober drawing challenge by doing one ink drawing a day the entire month. It has since grown into a worldwide endeavor with thousands of artists taking part in the challenge every year.
Sounds quite hectic doesn’t it? So how do you survive Inktober?
Sketch a few days in advance when inspiration strikes
1. Tell a story – it makes it more interesting for you and the viewer.
2. Have your own theme.
3. Schedule a specific time in your day, discipline always helps, and you could even use that discipline long after October has come and gone.
4. Keep it small (for obvious reasons).
5. Have your supplies ready.
